Michael Patrick Kabealo

KABEALO, Michael Patrick, Age 59 of Centerville (Eaton), OH and Atlanta, GA passed away on Saturday July 28, 2012 while on business in San Juan Puerto Rico. Michael was a 1971 graduate of Centerville, OH High School and had a lifelong career of 42 years in the hotel liquidation industry. Michael was well known and respected in his profession and recently was nominated as small business entrepreneur of the year in Atlanta. He is recognized throughout the liquidation "community" as an expert negotiator and closer. Michael was a member of Southminster Presbyterian Church in Centerville, OH and recently attended Northpoint Community Church in Alpharetta, GA. He will be remembered for being a vibrant, motivated, hard-working, loving man whose connection to family and nature were most important. Michael was an avid fisherman and his love of nature and outdoors renewed and revived him. Michael was very involved in all political issues. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Michael T. Kabealo, former 1938-1939 Ohio State Football Co-Captain. Michael is survived by his wife, companion and friend of 41 years, Alison (Smith) Kabealo; his loving mother Evelyn (Hicks) Kabealo (age 95) of Centerville, OH; father-in-law Merrill E. Smith of Eaton, OH; Children Michael D. Kabealo (Kellee) of Summerville, SC; Nicole Schlicher (Travis) of Atlanta, GA and Erin Walton of Roswell, GA; Grandchildren, Ava Grace Kabealo, Harper Tess Kabealo, Lindy Greer Kabealo and Presley Grace Walton; Sister, Michelle Dorsi of Secaucus, NJ; Nieces, Erica Dorsi of Jersey City, NJ and Jessica Dorsi of Santa Monica, CA and former wife, Claudia G. Miller of West Palm Beach, FL. Michael is also survived by many friends and relatives around the country. Family will greet friends on Saturday, September 1, 2012 from 3:00-4:00pm at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St, Centerville. Memorial services will be begin at 4:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michael P. Kabealo's name to the World Wildlife Fund at www.worldwildlife.org.
