Michael "Mike" John Robbe

ROBBE, Michael "Mike" John, age 50, of Oakwood, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2024. 

A graduate of Centerville High School, Mike was a former police officer and operated a paint contracting business. Throughout his life, Michael was known for his warmth, generosity, loyalty and unwavering kindness towards others. He touched the lives of those around him with his infectious laughter and gentle spirit. Mike owned Monkeez Bar on Wilmington Pike, dearly loved his dog, Lucy, tended to 31 Bonsai trees, loved the Bengals, Larry Bird and the Celtics. 

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Mary (Wolff) Robbe, grandparents, Edward and Marjorie Wolff, and William and Mary Robbe. Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of 21 years, Theresa Robbe; step-son, Adam (Jessica) Smith and their children, Oliver, Alice, and Emma; step-son, Aaron Smith; mother-in-law, Rosalie Vail; brother, Steven (Karen) Robbe; nieces and nephew, Amanda (Doug) LaRue, Valerie (Jared) Peterson, and Nicholas (Anne) Robbe; great nieces and nephews, life-long best friend, Derrick Seal, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

Although he may no longer be with us in person, Michael's memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. His legacy of love and compassion will forever be cherished. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects and share in the memories of a man who brought so much joy to those who knew him. 

Family will greet friends Friday, May 10 from 9:30AM-10:30AM at St. Charles Borromeo, 4500 Akerman Blvd., Kettering, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30AM. Memorial contributions may be made in Mike's name to Donate Life America.  May we find comfort in the memories we shared with Michael and may his soul rest in peace. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
