Michael Wenger

WENGER, Michael, age 67, of Dayton, passed away February 1, 2013. Born to Donald Wenger and Geraldine Reiter on July 16, 1945. Michael graduated from Chaminade High School in 1963. He received his BA in Philosophy from California State University. Michael also served in the US Air Force as a dog trainer. He worked as a probation officer for the State of California and retired from the city of Dayton where he was a heavy equipment operator. He was an avid dog lover who also enjoyed woodworking and stamp collecting. Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Richard and Ronald Wenger; and sister, Barbara Day. Michael is survived by numerous nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Norene Wenger; special friends, Ernie and Irma DeWaters; and his dog, Marty. A memorial mass will be held at 10am on Monday, February 11, 2013 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 820 Bowen St., Dayton, OH. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service at the church.
