Micki Chadwick

CHADWICK, Mildred "Micki" (nee Madden), age 82, of Centerville and Sarasota, FL passed away on August 4, 2014 at Hospice of Dayton after a brief illness. Micki was born in Baltimore, MD on Halloween, 1931, the daughter of John and Mary (Quigley) Madden. She was a graduate of The Institute of Notre Dame. She was preceded in death by her parents, and the love of her life, Gerry, in 1998. Micki is survived by her three children, Gerry (Margo), Mark (Nancy) and Dori (Rick) Gabriel, her grandchildren, Kate (Mike) Vriner, Brianna Gabriel, Maureen Chadwick, Rick Gabriel, Sam Gabriel, Claire Chadwick, Paige Chadwick, Mike Chadwick, great-granddaughter Rita Vriner and Quigley. She is also survived by her sister Anna (the late Bernie) Garrity, brother Jack (Deenie) Madden and sister Dolores O'Brien and many nieces and nephews. Micki was a loving wife, sister, aunt, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother -- her family was her life. Other than losing her husband too soon, Micki always said her life had exceeded her dreams. So while we will miss her, we are grateful to her for the many great memories she helped create. Her joy for life was her gift to all who knew her. We want to thank the doctors and nurses in the Kettering MSICU who provided quality and tender care to Mom, and the staff of Hospice of Dayton who made her final days very comfortable. Family and friends will gather to have a last visit with Micki at Routsong Funeral Home at 81 N. Main St., Centerville from 4:00-8:00 PM on Friday, August 8 and a funeral mass will be celebrated at Church of the Incarnation in Centerville, OH on Saturday, August 9 at 10:30 AM.
