Rodriguez, Miguel D., age 40, of Kettering, OH, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024. He was born on January 22, 1984, to Miguel and Debby (Norris) Rodriguez, in Dayton, OH. Miguel graduated from Fairmont High School, class of 2002. He defiantly made himself known as “Spic” throughout his youth and was bootlegging by the age of 12. Soon after graduation, he found purpose when he became the proud father of twin boys. He was driven to provide for them, starting his career as a dispatcher. Miguel’s father played a huge role in his life, and they shared a love of gardening, animal care, and cooking. Miguel worked for Time Warner and Dayton Freight Lines for 20 years. Throughout his life, he was passionate about agriculture. He was well known in his fervor for growing the hottest peppers among other vegetation. He loved cooking and even won several chili contests at work. He left dispatch work recently to pursue cultivation full-time. His stepfather, Roy, inspired his lifelong enthusiasm for film and music. Miguel became an avid film buff and could often be found watching new and obscure movies. His massive collection of signed film memorabilia showcased his appreciation for the artform.
He was supported by his lifelong friend, Autumn, in every interest and project since they met in 6th grade. Their home became a haven for rescued animals where they have spent countless hours caring and nurturing them along with their daughter, Amara. Miguel’s ingenuity was evident in the custom-built enclosures he created for the reptiles. Miguel was happiest when he was able to gather his friends and family to enjoy a delicious meal and cheesy b-movie together. His loving and tenacious character will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Miguel’s final quest was to make an Only Fans page for barbecue chicken pizza. He made numerous attempts to elevate barbecue chicken pizza to its rightful place. Alas, Only Fans refused his numerous attempts. If you would like to help in realizing Miguel’s final quest, contact Only Fans and let your feelings be known!
He is preceded in death by his mother, Debby Norris; and his personal hero, Richard Simmons.
Miguel is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 13 years, Autumn Cahill; children, Cage Rodriguez, Alex Rodriguez, and Amara Rodriguez; parents, Miguel and Kathy Rodriguez, and Julie and Roy Martin; brother, Phil (Cathy) Norris; Autumn’s parents Kim and Steve Cahill, Jennifer Frick; and numerous friends and extended family.
