FILCIK, Milan George, age 76, of Miamisburg, beloved and faithful husband, father and grandfather, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 18, 2005 . Milan, a longtime resident of Kettering, was born in Arnold, PA. He received an engineering degree from the University of Pittsburgh, served in the U.S. Air Force, was a marketing manager with Northrop Corporation and a charter member of the National Assn. of Remotely Piloted Vehicles. He was also a licensed realtor in the Dayton area for a number of years. Milan served his Lord at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church as a council member, on numerous church boards, and as a Bethel Bible teacher. He enjoyed traveling, gardening, photography, and practicing his culinary arts for friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Jules, and is survived by his wife of 53 years, Helen, his son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Marcie Filcik of Holland, MI, his daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Michael Tripp of Kettering, grandchildren, Joshua and wife Diana, Isaac, Joseph, Hannah, Samuel, Daniel, Anna, and John, sister-in-law, Shirley Filcik of Cincinnati, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at Routsong Funeral Home, Kettering Chapel, 2100 E. Stroop Rd. on Sunday, April 24, 2005 from 2-5:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 901 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, OH 45429 on Monday, April 25, 2005 at 10:00 AM with burial following at David’s Cemetery. If desired, contributions can be made in Milan’s name to the Memorial Fund at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
