GREGORY, Miller L., age 85 of Dayton, OH and Ludlow, KY passed away Sunday, September 30, 2007 at Hospice of Dayton. Miller was born in Charlotte, NC and raised in Ludlow, KY graduating from Ludlow High School in 1940 where he was proud to be on the tennis team. After high school, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps serving from Aug 1941 – Aug 1945. He was a Boeing B-17 Crew Chief for two years in England rank Master Sergeant during WWII earning the EAME Theater Ribbon with 6 bronze stars, the American Defense Service Medal, and the Distinguished Unit Citation. After the War, he completed Officer Training School at Eastern College, KY where he was a Distinguished Military Student and a member of the 1948 tennis team. He transferred to the University of KY majoring in Psychology where he received a BS degree while employed and living at the U.S. Public Health Service Narcotics Hospital (NARCO) in Lexington. He was a lifetime model airplane designer, builder, and flyer and in 1962 was one of the founders of the Dayton Wingmasters Model Airplane Club. Miller retired from the State of Ohio as the Dayton Metro Area Labor Market Analyst at age 65 in 1986. He continued to play tennis and fly radio-controlled model airplanes well into retirement. He was preceded in death by Abraham Lincoln and George Washington for whom he had great respect. Miller L. Gregory was also preceded in death by his parents, Miller L. Gregory Sr. and Iva Bell Gregory; sister, Mary Elizabeth Gregory Hoffman and by his long-time best friend, Genevieve Titus Banks. He is survived by his 2 nephews, Gregory S.(Jo Ann) Hoffman and John L. (Beverly) Hoffman; great nephew, Stephen Hoffman; great niece, Julia Hoffman Mesher; and 2 great-great nephews, Isaac and Josiah Mesher and the daughters of Genevieve Banks: Becky (Greg) Durr, Debby (Pete) Rockwood and Barbara Banks. The family will receive visitors and share memories on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at 11: 00 AM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, OH and at the Erlanger Lakes Clubhouse, Erlanger, KY on Sunday, October 7, 2007 at 4:00 PM followed by dinner at a nearby restaurant. Because of his love of animals and in lieu of flowers, Miller requested contributions be made to the Dayton Humane Society, 1661 Nicholas Rd., Dayton, OH 45418 or to The Tenth Life Cat Shelter, P. O.
