Miriam A. Berkshire

BERKSHIRE, Miriam A., age 93, of Centerville, passed away on July 14, 2019.. Miriam was born to the late William and Mary (Zimmerman) Couser on November 13, 1925 in Dayton, OH.

She enjoyed playing the organ and she sang at weddings, some funerals, and in her church.

Miriam is preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Paul F. Leonard (1945-1993), second husband, Clayton Berkshire (1994-2003), brother, Joseph Couser, sister, Esther Krietzer, and granddaughter Julia Greenwood. She is survived by four sons, Timothy, Paul (Denise), David (Lesa), and Jon Leonard; two daughters, Susan (Denis) Mathes and Jayne Luedeke; nine grandchildren, Jennifer, James, Cris, Nicole, Ryan, Sarah, Brittany, Heather, and Laura; several great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild, two brothers, David and Mark (Helen) Couser.

Family will greet friends from 10:00-12:00pm on Saturday, July 20 at Calvary Grace Brethren, with a funeral service to follow. Miriam’s final resting place will be at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
