Myriam Kreml, age 77, of Huber Heights, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2015, in Naples, Florida, after prolonged illness with bronchiactisis and COPD. She was born to the late Guillermo Espino and late Socorro Palma-Flores Espino on February 22, 1937.
Born and raised in Concepcion De Maria, Honduras, she resided in Huber Heights, Ohio, and Naples, Florida. Myriam earned an education degree before immigrating to the United States in 1958. In Louisiana, she completed secretarial school and soon after married the love of her life, Roland Kreml, on July 16, 1959. She lived in many places as the faithful U.S. Air Force wife and best friend of her husband, including Libya, England and the Mojave Desert and still managed to find time to earn a real estate license and become a realtor.
In all her endeavors, Myriam never met a stranger. She proudly served in the Red Cross and Air Force Family Services for many years. She inherited her mother's deep caring for people which was evident in her dedicated service. Her financial savviness emerged in her enjoyment of her pursuit of sales and negotiations.
She was a wonderful cook of Honduran, American and German cuisine. Her heart's desire was to encourage others to help the people of South Honduras. She was a devoted and loving mother, believing her greatest accomplishment was raising her children. In addition, she was an avid reader and enjoyed water aerobics.
Myriam is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Roland Kreml; children, Maria Kreml of Reynoldsburg, Sonya (Michael) Valentine of Delaware and Roland (Tonya) Kreml, Jr. of Grove City; grandchildren, Tara and Wayne Kreml; Zach, Alex and Anna Valentine; as well as brothers, Guillermo Espino of Tegucigalpa, Honduras, and Mario Espino of Crestview, Florida, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Socorro Palma-Flores Espino, 102 years young.
