WAHRER, Nan age 72, of Kettering, passed away Friday, February 27, 2004 at Hospice of Dayton. Nan was a member of Oakwood United Methodist Church. She had been employed with Dayton Power and Light, Top Value Stamps for 25 years, and at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church for over 17 years. Nan is preceded in death by her parents, infant brother, Samuel Jr., and her two sisters, Mary Hardesty and Martha Robinson. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Joseph Wahrer; son, Marty (Vickie) Wahrer of Scarborough, ME; 4 grandchildren, Matthew, Benjamin, William and Katherine; cousin, Carl Millard of Kettering and several nieces and nephews. Nan had a special love for singing and playing music. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 1 at 2:00 PM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 901 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, with Pastor Terry Morgan and Pastor Thomas Prochaska officiating. Family will receive friends, Sunday afternoon from 2-5:00 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. Burial in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Saco, ME. In memory of Nan, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420 or the American Cancer Society, 40 S. Perry St., Ste. 120, Dayton, OH 45402.
