Nancy Rae Baker (nee Humphrey), 70, joined her mother in heaven on Saturday, December 21, 2024. She was with her family and friends at the Community Living Center at the Dayton VA in Dayton, Ohio.
Nancy was proceeded in death by her beloved mother, Ruby Humphrey and her father, Nelson Humphrey. Nancy, a lifelong Dayton resident graduated from Kiser High School in 1972 and then joined the Air Force. She loved dogs and often took in strays. She loved music, scary movies, fishing, and life. During her time at the CLC, she learned to also love gardening, arts and crafts, and all the wonderful activities they offered her. Nancy’s life changed for the better at the CLC and she made many friends.
Special thanks to Shea, Chanta, Patricia, Bianca, Kim, Kenisha, George, Rodriguez, Patty, Lori, Roxanne, Chaplain Bonita, and her entire Patton Place family who cared for her like a princess. Thanks to Glenn for sharing his ice cream with her.
Nancy leaves behind her sister, Lynn Humphrey, brother Bruce Humphrey, son Micheal Baker, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She left us all with lasting memories. Fly high, baby sister!
