SCOTT, Nancy E., age 72, of Dayton, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2024.
Nancy was born March 5, 1952 in Royal Oak, MI to Robert Francis and Ruth Marie (Pienela) Scott. A graduate of Centerville High School in 1970, she obtained her Bachelor’s in Education from The Ohio State University in 1974, and her Masters in Early Childhood Education from the University of Dayton in 1977. Nancy was a kindergarten teacher for many years, also teaching art at an elementary level. She had a deep love for animals, caring for various beloved pets over the years, and always feeding the wild birds and squirrels that visited her yard. Nancy was an avid gardener, cultivating brightly colored flowers around her serene back porch. She was a truly kind, fun loving, and self-reliant woman who valued her independence, her friends, and her family. Nancy was a friend of Bill W. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She will be reunited in the next life with numerous, beloved pets.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents and her ex-husband, Edmund Reiling. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Kirby and Courtney Reiling; grandchildren, Edmund “E.J.” and Schyler; siblings, Mary and Cliff Brahm, Jim and Cheryl Scott, and Jay and Maria Scott; nephew, Brandon and Chiki Brahm; niece, Christy Zakrocynski; and great nieces and nephew, Caylynn, Macie, Mylo, and Ariya.
