Nancy Ruth Horlacher

HORLACHER, Nancy Ruth, age 77, of Centerville, OH, passed away on November 26, 2024. Nancy grew up in Mount Healthy, Ohio and graduated from Miami University in 1969 with her B.S. in Elementary Education. She began working for the Dayton Metro Library in 1970 and retired as the Local History Librarian in 2021. For five years, Nancy was also the Curator at Carillon Historical park. She had a passion for community work and served on the board or was an active member of the Junior League of Dayton, Dayton Area Red Cross, Walk of Fame, Celebration Dayton 1996, Aviation Trail, Miami Valley Sports Committee, Patterson Homestead Committee, and Miami University Blue Line Club.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, Florence and Herb Flaig; and brother, Terry Flaig. 

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jeff Horlacher; and special cousins and friends.

A private burial was held at Woodland Cemetery and Arboretum.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm on Friday, December 13, 2024 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd. Kettering, OH 45429, with a Celebration of Life to follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of choice.
