Nancy Jean Corpus

CORPUS, Nancy Jean, age 91, of Oakwood, OH, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2017. Nancy was born on November 6, 1926 to the late Dee and Dicey (nee King) Lambird. Nancy exemplified the values of the Great Generation, love of country, hard work, sacrifice, integrity and devotion to family. She was an avid dancer and reader who loved cooking and staying active with her husband by swimming and taking evening walks. Nancy is preceded in death by her husband; son, James Corpus; and brother, William Lambird. She is survived by her children, Charles (Deborah) Corpus of Oakwood and Richard (Julie) Corpus of E. Browswick, N.J.; daughter-in-law, Deborah Corpus of Carmel, IN; grandchildren, Andy, Hadley, Ivan, Lee, Natalie, Eric, Robert and Mary Grace; great-grandchildren, Parker, Brody and Hannah; brother, Earl and King Lambird and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will be holding private services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave. Dayton, OH 45420. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at The Carlyle House and Sycamore Glen for all the wonderful care they gave to Nancy.
