Neil A. Nelson

age 93, of Kettering, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2006. Neil was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy C. Nelson and sister, Irene Gaffney. Survived by his two sons, Robert N. Nelson & wife Bonnie, of Loudon, TN and Stephan P. Nelson & wife Barbara, of Charlottesville, VA; three grandchildren, Christopher & wife Megan, Joshua and Alex Nelson and other dear friends. Neil was a member of Lutheran Church of Our Savior. He was born in Minneapolis & graduated from the University of Minnesota, BSEE in 1935. He came to Dayton to serve in the Signal Corps and worked at WPAFB as a radio engineer from 1941 until his retirement in 1973. Professional organizations include: I.R.E, I.E.E.E, NAECON & AMBUCS. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 10 at 2:00PM at Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 155 E. Thruston Blvd., Oakwood, OH 45419 with Pastor Gary Eichhorn officiating. Family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service from 1:00-2:00PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions may be made to Lutheran Church of Our Savior.
