Nila E. Mulford

MULFORD, Nila E., 'Betty' age 84, formerly of Denver, CO, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2006 in Dayton, OH. She was a welfare processor for the State of Colorado for more than 25 years. She was born in Cincinnati OH and attended Miami University in Oxford, OH. Betty was a Past Matron of the Lorraine Chapter 52 OES and a member of the Brighton PEO Chapter. She was a member of the Brighton United Methodist Church. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Russell in 1986. She is survived by her stepdaughter, Marlene Black of Centerville, OH and granddaughters Michelle (Tom) Corcoran of Beavercreek, and Linda (Jim) Black-Kurek of Centerville, OH and six great-grandchildren. Betty and her husband, Russ, had a love and passion for Colorado and this passion was the inspiration for her paintings. She earned the Denver Painter of the Month Award. A Memorial service will be held at graveside at Fairfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Brighton United Methodist Church or Brighton Community Hospital. Many thanks to the Liberty Nursing Home staff for their vigilant and loving care for the past 3 years. Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery.
