ANDERSON, Nina Sue (Campbell) 79 of Centerville passed away December 25, 2002 after a short illness. She was preceded in death in 1992 by her husband, Earl Anderson, Jr. She is survived by a daughter in California, Susan and son-in-law Jim Payne, and a son Bruce of Dayton, daughter-in-law Karen, and grandson Evan. Her sister Lynda Kesler of Oxford, Mississippi survives also, as do nieces and nephews in Mississippi, Texas, Ohio and Thailand. Nina Sue was born in Toccopola, Mississippi to Edgar and Lora (Martin) Campbell. She earned degrees from Delta State in Cleveland, Mississippi and Washington University in St. Louis, and taught elementary school for more than thirty years in Missouri and Texas. Always an engaged thinker, she supported Planned Parenthood, the Sierra Club, and the ACLU. She was a member of Southminster Presbyterian Church, where she participated in the Mary Martha Circle and the Tuesday morning women's Bible study. She was an avid reader and writer, and belonged to several book and writers' clubs. The family would like to thank the medical staff at Miami Valley Hospital 5SE and Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, as well as the Oakwood Club for several comfort meals. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of Dayton. Visitation will be Monday, December 30 at 10:00 a.m. at Southminster Presbyterian Church, 7001 Far Hills Ave. Dayton, OH with a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Condolences may be sent to the family via the funeral home's website at www.routsong.com.
