, age 81, of Kettering, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2002. Born and raised in Missouri, she attended Baker University where she began a lifelong affiliation with the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. After college, she relocated to Seattle where she worked as a secretary, served as a junior USO hostess during WWII, and danced so divinely she swept the man of her dreams Ken off his feet. Dell and Ken married October 16, 1948, and soon moved to Dayton where Ken joined his brother in the Parkmoor Restaurant business. Together, they raised 3 daughters. Dell had countless friends and lived a full, happy life. Alzheimer's robbed her memories in later years, but we remember her always for her absolute devotion to family and friends, for her warmth, and her kindness. Preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Monschke; parents, Harry and Fern Frances; daughter, Patrice Monschke; brother and sister-in-law, Wallace and Virginia Monschke; nephew, Douglas Monschke; uncles, Clair and Clayton McCraw. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Vicki Sutton of Kettering and Melissa Monschke and partner, Debbie Bresher of Huber Heights; granddaughter, Bridget Sutton of Oakwood; cousin, Shirley (Eldon) Ackerman of Missouri; aunt, Autumn McCraw, and many lifelong friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 14 at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd. Family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
