HARVEY, Norma Goodman, age 99, of Dayton, passed away on February 11, 2014. Norma was born March 9, 1914 in Portsmouth, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight Harvey. Norma is survived by 2 stepchildren, Charles (Nonda) Harvey of Vandalia and Cynthia (Richard) Littell of Worthington; 4 step-grandchildren, Jennifer Haeufle (Jerry) of Trenton, Jon Harvey (Tina) of Germantown, Rick Littell, and Stephanie Littell (both of Columbus); and 5 step-great-grandchildren; and a grand-niece, Cayce (Douglas) Forrester of Sanford, Florida.
She was a 62 year member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and was a member of deacons, circle 7 and pastor nominating committee for Dr. Schram.
Norma was a previous member of Dayton Women's Club and PEO chapter CH. She worked for 39 years for the federal government starting with the Civilian Conservation Corp in Portsmouth and then transferred to Wright Field (now Wright Patterson AFB) in 1950. She worked in the research and development department as a secretary and editor for various publications.
A memorial service will be held in the Healthcare Center of Friendship Village on Friday, February 28 at 10:30 am.
