DOHNER, Norman Alfred, age 95, of Centerville, OH passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018. Norman was born on May 15, 1923 in Arcanum, OH.
He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army in Europe, where he was awarded the Purple Heart. After his return, Norman graduated from Miami University, where he was a member of the Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity. In 1955 he founded the accounting firm that became Dohner, Louis and Stephens, and actively managed the firm until his retirement in 1989. Norman was a devoted husband and father who enjoyed playing golf and investing in the stock market.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents, Arland J. and Anna (nee Fourman) Dohner; sister, Phyllis Dohner Troutwine Blackburn. He is survived by his loving wife, Suzanne B. Dohner; son, Robert (Kathryn) Dohner; daughter, Linda (Brian) Stephens; grandchildren, Robert (Kelly) Stephens, Karen (Eric) Eberly, and Julia Dohner; and 2 great-grandchildren.
The family will be holding private services. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff of Hospice of Dayton and Bethany Village for all the wonderful and compassionate care they gave to Norman.
