Monnin, Norman, J., age 82, passed away Friday, January 11, 2013. Born to Herman Monnin and Thelma Lachey Monnin on October 23, 1930, Norman graduated from Chaminade High School in 1948. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, and was a member of the Belmont VFW and the American Legion. Norman was a great fan of University of Dayton sports and Nascar.
Preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Ann Monnin; his parents; sisters, Mary Anne Wilson and Norma Jean Rock and sister-in-law, Gay Berk. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Pat; son, Mike (Holley) Knoblock of Kettering and Daniel Monnin of Dayton; grandchildren, Andrew, Emily, Erich; great-grandchild, Parker; brothers, Herman Monnin, Jr., Anthony Monnin, Charlie (Laura) Monnin; sisters, Joan (Don) Money and Rose Duckro; numerous nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Robert Berk; parents-in-law, Russel and Mildred Berk; cousin, Barb Gerwick; and friend, Rhonda Monnin.

The family will greet friends from 9:30 to 10:30am on Wednesday, January 16 at Immaculate Conception Church, 2300 Smithville Rd., Dayton, Ohio, 45420. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30am.
