Oliverose Apple

APPLE, Oliverose, 93, passed away in her home surrounded by her loving family. Oliverose was a graduate of The Ohio State University. She continued her involvement with OSU by attending football games, providing scholarships, and was active in the alumni association. She was a charter member of Fairmont Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir. Oliverose had many talents including beautiful hand-painted china and hand quilting. Preceded in death by her childhood sweetheart and husband of 56 years, Bill, her sister, Josephine Schuster, her daughter, Donna Yagley and her granddaughter, Amanda Wheelhouse. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is survived by her sister Mary Allbery, daughters Martha Meconi (Tony), Jane Wheelhouse (Robert), son-in-law, Gary Yagley, and many nieces and nephews. Oliverose was known as Bonna by her grandchildren, Marla Rzeszotarski (John), Molly Juratovac, Megan Meconi (Marc), Kara Baker (Jason), Laura Hochstein (Scott), Kathryn Wheelhouse, and Jonathan Wheelhouse. She also leaves 8 great grandchildren. She will be missed. Many thanks to the caregivers who have been devoted to her. Also, thanks to Hospice of the Miami Valley for their help and support. Calling hours will be Sunday, March 16th from 2:00p.m. to 5:00p.m. at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd. A memorial service led by Rev. Denise Weaver, with a reception to follow, on Monday, March 17th will be held at Fairmont Presbyterian Church, 3705 Far Hills, at 11:00 a.m. after an interment service at David's Cemetery at 10:15 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Apple Foundation (providing scholarships and contributions to charitable organizations), P.O.
