Otis F. Lake Jr.

LAKE, Otis F. Jr., age 82, of Celina, formerly of Kettering, passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2004. He was a 1939 graduate of Stivers High School. Otis also was a graduate of The University of Dayton and Miami University where he received his Master’s degree. He retired from the Dayton Public Schools after serving 30 years as a teacher and administrator. Otis was a former member of Dorothy Lane American Baptist Church and a life time member of the American Legion, Celina, OH and the VFW, Kettering. Preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Lake; twin sons, Otis III and Joseph Lake. Survived by his sons, James, John and David Lake; daughter, Virginia Burroughs; grandchildren, Jim and Jeff Lake, Jessica Hanchak, Herb Burroughs, Veronica Graf, Jennifer and John Lake, Michelle Romary and Matthew Lake and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday at Routsong Funeral Home, 6 Oakwood Ave., Dayton with Rev. Mary Jane Leech officiating. Burial in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
