Owen Ray Kilburn

KILBURN, Owen Ray, age 87, of Riverside, OH, passed away on July 10, 2017. Owen was born on November 17, 1929 in Booneville, KY to Dudley & Daisy (Bowman) Kilburn. He served in the US Army during the Korean War in the 3rd Infantry Div. Owen worked 26 years for Sherwin-Williams and retired after 14 years of service at General Motors Truck & Bus. He attended the Community United Methodist Church where he met his second wife, Dottie, and together they enjoyed volunteering their time. He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Dorothy (Bowman) Kilburn and his sister, Leila Shriver. Owen is survived by his loving wife, Dottie (Guisleman) Kilburn; children, Sammy (Marlene) Kilburn of GA, Bruce Kilburn of Dayton, OH, Jamie (Barbara) Kilburn of Huber Heights, OH; grandchildren, Doug (Jessica), Sean, Brent (Kimberly), Kirsten, Tyler (Brittany), Matthew and McKenzie; great-grandchildren, James, Cassandra, Kyla and Anika Kilburn; brother, Cecil (Betty) Kilburn of GA. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Sanctuary at Wilmington Place and Hospice of Dayton for their care and attention given to Owen. The family will receive friends from 11-1pm, Friday, July 14, 2017 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 Stroop Rd., Kettering, OH. Funeral service will be held at 1pm at the funeral home.
