Patricia Ann Rasnick

RASNICK Patricia Ann, age 72, of Kettering, lost her battle with breast cancer on October 20, 2015 at Hospice of Dayton. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. The memory of her loving ways and kindness will live on in her grandsons. As a dedicated teacher for 35 years in the Kettering School System, hundreds of youthful minds of her students were brought to life by her quick wit and watchful eyes. Pat was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church where she sang in the choir and sang for many funerals and weddings. Pat attended Julienne High School and graduated from the University of Dayton. Always excited about UD basketball, but her real love was for Ohio State football. Preceded in death by her father, Ivor Keller; mother, Ruth Keller; aunt, Irene Fischer; and uncle, Urb Schwindeman. Pat is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Jere; daughter, Jen (Brian) Lee of Marysville, OH; much loved grandsons, Mason and Colin; brother-in-law, Dick (Rita) Rasnick of Clover, SC; many nieces and nephews; and beloved aunts, Mary Brinkman and Lucille Lewis of Dayton, OH. Pat received great pleasure in her travels, dancing, playing cards and games. The ladies of her book club, card clubs, and "lunch bunch," she considered her earthly gifts and blessings. A visitation will take place at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd, Kettering, OH, on Monday, October 26, 2015 from 5:00-8:00pm with a Mass of Christain Burial at St. Charles Catholic Church, 4500 Ackerman Blvd, Kettering, OH, on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, gifts in Patricia's name may be made to St. Charles Catholic Church, Hospice of Dayton, or to the charity of your choice.
