Paul Anthony Gregory

GREGORY, Paul A., age 83 of Kettering, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on September 1, 2009, at Hospice of Dayton. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Rose Gregory; his sisters, Sister Mary Florentine, Helen, Ann; and his brothers, Charles and Thomas. He leaves his wife of 59 years, Jacqueline Gregory, to cherish his memory, a true love story that will never end. He will be deeply missed by his six children, Cherie Ritter (Craig), Dave Gregory (Susan), Michael Gregory (Maribeth), Andrew Gregory (Jodi), John Gregory (Shari), and Mary Beth Klawonn (James); twelve grandchildren, Michael A. Merrick and Erin Ritter, Sam and Tracy Gregory, Matthew and Tina Gregory, Elise and Evan Gregory, Joel and Selah Gregory, and Kelsey and Robert Klawonn; four great grandchildren, Ross, Dustin, Bret, and Alexis Merrick; and his brothers, Frank, George and Vern and sisters, Theresa and Joanne. Paul served in the Army during WWII in the Asiatic-Pacific campaign. He retired from The Standard Register Co., in Dayton, Ohio, after 37 years service as a pressman. He later retired from Meijer Inc., on Wilmington Pike in Kettering, Ohio, after working as a greeter for fourteen years. His family and friends will miss his beautiful smile, his unique way of telling a story, and his great sense of humor.
