Paul Edgar Shroyer

SHROYER, Paul E., age 81 of Bellbrook, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2011. Paul graduated from Fairview High School, class of 1947 and proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a retired cabinet maker; a Boy Scout leader; a member of the Kettering Banjo Society, the Eagles, and the American Legion; and a member of First Baptist Church for over 60 years. Paul was a hard worker who enjoyed working on antique cars, woodworking and building his own homes. Preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Paul and Opal Mae (Clark) Shroyer and sister, Doris Carnahan. Paul is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Janice Mae; son, Robert Shroyer and his wife MaryAnn; daughter, Paula Colby and her husband Steve; brother, Dale Clark; grandchildren, Amy Shroyer, Mark (Amanda) Shroyer, Laura (John) Halsey, Ian Colby and Katherine Colby; and great-grandchildren, Dylan and Abbey Halsey. A special thanks to the staff at Heartland of Centerville for the wonderful care they provided to Paul. Services will be at a later date.
