Paul John Long, Jr.

September 8, 1916 — October 5, 2000

age 84 of Centerville, Ohio; died at home on October 5, 2000. He retired in 1977 after working over 31 years at Delco Products, General Motors Corporation. He was a member of South Park United Methodist Church, The Society of Automotive Engineers, and a Registered Professional Engineer. He was a graduate of the University of Cincinnati, and served as an officer in the Navy during World War II. Survived by his wife Jean; son William Long and daughter-in-law Julie, from Newport Beach, California; daughter Nancy Slivka, and son-in-law Dan, from Cleveland, Ohio; four grandchildren, Melanie and Matthew Lowe, Paul D. Slivka, and W. David Long, Jr.. Sisters Mary E. Blair, Lebanon, Ohio; and Ida Mae Peck, and her husband E. C. Peck, Middletown, Ohio; a nephew John D. Peck and a niece Kathy S. Maier. Services will be held at 11:30 A.M., Monday, October 9, 2000, at The Woodland Mausoleum, Woodland Cemetery, 118 Woodland Avenue, Dayton, Ohio. Friends my call at the Mausoleum one hour prior to the service. Reverend Eric McGlade officiating. If desired, friends may make memorial contributions to the South Park United Methodist Endowment Fund, 140 Stonemill Road, Dayton, Ohio, 45409, The Bethany Lutheran Village Benevolent Fund, 6451 Far Hills Avenue, Centerville, Ohio, 45459, or Hospice of Dayton, P.O.
