age 84 of Centerville, Ohio; died at home on October 5, 2000. He retired in 1977 after working over 31 years at Delco Products, General Motors Corporation. He was a member of South Park United Methodist Church, The Society of Automotive Engineers, and a Registered Professional Engineer. He was a graduate of the University of Cincinnati, and served as an officer in the Navy during World War II. Survived by his wife Jean; son William Long and daughter-in-law Julie, from Newport Beach, California; daughter Nancy Slivka, and son-in-law Dan, from Cleveland, Ohio; four grandchildren, Melanie and Matthew Lowe, Paul D. Slivka, and W. David Long, Jr.. Sisters Mary E. Blair, Lebanon, Ohio; and Ida Mae Peck, and her husband E. C. Peck, Middletown, Ohio; a nephew John D. Peck and a niece Kathy S. Maier. Services will be held at 11:30 A.M., Monday, October 9, 2000, at The Woodland Mausoleum, Woodland Cemetery, 118 Woodland Avenue, Dayton, Ohio. Friends my call at the Mausoleum one hour prior to the service. Reverend Eric McGlade officiating.
