Paul L Harper

HARPER, Paul L., age 92, of Centerville, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2015. Paul was born in Lima on April 22, 1923 to the late Paul M. and Evelyn L. (Frisinger) Harper. He married Marilyn M. Zimmer on November 4, 1950 in Dayton; she preceded him in death on October 29, 2013. Paul was a graduate of Patterson Co-op in 1941. He was a Golden Glove Boxer and was a WWII veteran, serving in the U.S. Army from 1943 1946. Paul owned and operated CTM, Central Tool and Mfg., retiring in 1992. Paul was a member of Moraine Air Park. He enjoyed boating, fishing and spending the summers in Canada. Paul is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Joni Marie Christman, son-in-law, Lew Thomson and his sister Wanda Baer. He is survived by his four daughters, Paula (John) Noble of Springboro, Lyn (Jeff) Best of Springboro, Kathy Christman of Bluffton, Indiana, and Lorrie (Greg) Andrulis of Manassas, Virginia; thirteen grandchildren, Melissa (Mark) Conrad, John (Morgan Boyd) Noble, Joel Noble, Allison (Jordan) Stanley, Emily (Mike) Vonderau, Saralyn (Tal) Moon, John (Meredyth) Moore, Brian (Mallory) Christman, Danny Christman, Jeremy Christman, Jason Christman, Austin Andrulis and Maggie Andrulis; nine great-grandchildren, Mary Frances Conrad, Sam, Abby, Max and Jake Vonderau, Jeremy and Megan Moore, Mackenzie and Makayla Christman and two brothers-in-law, Ret. Col Charles (Nina) Zimmer and Dr. James Zimmer. Family will greet friends on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd. Kettering with a funeral service on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at 10:00 am, Pastor Mike Vonderau officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery and a reception will take place at Routsong Funeral Home following the burial. In memory of Paul, donations may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 70 Birch Alley, Beavercreek, OH 45440 and Hospice of Dayton.
