Pauline Varley Faris

FARIS, Pauline "Tippie" Varley, age 91, died on Monday, February 9, 2015 at Walnut Creek Nursing Center. She was born July 2, 1923 in Buford, Ohio. Tippie worked for Rike's and for Air Service Command at WPAFB during WWII. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. Tippie was dedicated to her family and faith. She allowed others to be in the spotlight while she stood to the side and cheered them on. She was also a 68 year cancer survivor. Tippie was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Roger C. Faris; parents, Russell Washington Varley and Rachel Elizabeth (Tolle) Varley; brother, Wendell Varley; sister-in-laws, Betty Varley and Frances Faris; and brother-in-law, Richard Faris. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Kim (Faris) Weimer; son-in-law, Steve Weimer, whom Tippie admired and appreciated for his dedication and love for her family over the past 29 plus years; her cherished grandsons, Marshall (Samantha) Weimer and Cameron Weimer, who brought her such joy and pride; great-grandson, Jacob Tyler (JT); nieces, Connie (Jim) Stevens and Cheryl (Bob) McClain; nephews, Tom (Marni) Faris and Steve Faris; great-nieces, Toy (Wayne Avedisian) Maxwell and Kristi Fickert; great-nephews, Keith Stevens, Steve McClain and Matt Faris; plus numerous great-great nieces and nephews; loving friends, Donna & Bill Meyer. Family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00pm on Friday, February 13, 2015 at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Church of the Incarnation, 7415 Far Hills Ave., Centerville. Burial will be at Buford Cemetery in Buford, OH. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Incarnation Music Programs, 7415 Far Hills Ave., Centerville, OH 45459 or Montgomery County Humane Society, 6790 Webster St, Dayton, OH 45414. The family would like to thank the staff at Walnut Creek for their phenomenal care and compassion over the past 9 years, as well as Hospice of Dayton for their loving care and support.
