Peter E. Chmielewski

age 69, of Dayton, passed away Monday, January 21, 2002. Peter was a life time member of St. Adalbert Church. He graduated from Chaminade High School in 1950 and graduated with a B.A. from University of Dayton in 1954. He was an active U.D. alumni and a faithful follower of U.D. Flyers basketball. Peter retired from Standard Register after many years of service and then became president of Horseman Printing until his retirement. Peter was a member of many business organizations and societies, including the Newcoman Society of the United States. He had many interests and was an avid photographer. Preceded in death by his loving parents, Peter and Josephine Chmeilewski; and sister, Cecilia Dembski. Survived by sister, Eleanor Davis, brother, Stanley Chmielewski; nephew, Richard Davis, and his wife, Sue; grand nephew, Rick Davis; nephew, Tom Davis and his wife, Judy of CA; niece, Cynthia Davis; and numerous other loving family members and friends. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM, Friday, in St. Adalbert Church, Dayton, with Father Michael Holloran officiating. Visitation from 4:00 - 7:00 PM, Thursday, in Routsong Funeral Home, 6 Oakwood Ave., Oakwood with prayers at 6:45 PM. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Adalbert Church, 1511 Valley St., Dayton, OH 45404.
