TROHATOS, Peter J., age 84, of Kettering passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at Hospice of Dayton. He served his country during WWII in the US Navy. Peter was a longtime member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church and owner of The Central Printing Company. An avid sports fan, he was a coach for the VFW Post 8312 Jesse Haines Little League Baseball team for several years, and coached for the Young Men's Basketball Team at the Greek Orthodox Church. He also owned and raced thoroughbred horses in the Ohio area. He was preceded in death by his wife of over 58 years, Ann (nee Thomas) Trohatos; infant son, Daniel David Trohatos; his parents, John and Pota (nee Katavalos) Trohatos; sisters: Cleo (Irving) Smilo, Connie and Joyce Trohatos, and Elizabeth "Betty" (Monroe) Seal; "brother," John (Angie) Smilo; parents-in-law: David and Frankie Belle Thomas; brothers- and sisters-in-law: Ralph (Ruby) Thomas, Clara "Evelyn" (Perry) Hannah, Wallace Thomas, Lena (Jack) Butcher, Vernon "Bunny" (Terri) Thomas, Edith (Jim) Lewis, Bob (Bonnie) Thomas, Marlene (Gene) McQuality, and Romana Smith; and Godson, James (Renee) Nicholas. Peter is survived by his daughter, Connie (Ernie) Stathes; son, John (Becky) Trohatos; and grandchildren: Anna (Jason) McCullough, Gus Stathes (Rachel Isaacs), Peter (Amy Ryan) and Andrew Trohatos; Godson, William "Bill" (Linda) Seal; Godfamily: Renee and Demetri Nicholas and Stephanie (Nick) Coleman, Sam and Connie Mellas; in-laws: Art ("Mickie") Thomas, Leslie Thomas; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 20th at 10:00 AM at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, with Father Mark Emroll officiating. Burial in Woodland Cemetery, Dayton. Family will receive friends Saturday, April 18, 2009 from 3-6:00 PM, with Trisagion Prayers at 3:00 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering.
