THOMSON, Peter Wayne Jr., age 70, of Centerville, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2024. Pete was born November 8, 1953, in Jackson, MS, to Peter and Ethleon (Felder) Thomson. After graduating from Centerville High School, he worked as a truck driver for many years. Known for his friendly and welcoming nature, Pete never forgot the names of those he met. These qualities shone each Sunday morning as he greeted attendees at First Baptist Church of Dayton. As a long-time and deeply involved member of the church, Pete was always eager to lend a hand. Above all, he cherished his role as a family man, finding great joy in spending time with his loved ones. Pete is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Clare Fallenbeck. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Linda Thomson; sons, Matthew (DeAnn) Owens and Nathan (Kimberly Bogan) Owens; daughter, Shannon (Kyle) Brown; grandchildren, Aidan, Lucas, Sydney, Abigail, Colin, and Alina; brother, John Joseph Thomson; father-in-law, Harold West; two nieces, Azalea and Kate; brothers-in-law, Tim (Angie) West and George (Bev) Fallenbeck. Family will greet friends at 10am Saturday, June 8, at First Baptist Church of Dayton, 111 W. Monument Ave., Dayton, OH 45402. Memorial Services will begin at 11am at the church with a reception to follow. Memorial contributions may be made in Pete’s name to the church.
