Petros G. Staios

STAIOS, Petros G. age 95, of Cincinnati, OH (formerly of Dayton) passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2006 at home. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, a dear friend to many, and a faithful parishioner at The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Dayton and Holy Trinity-St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Cincinnati. Petros served to better his country and community in many ways, including his work for his church and for the public school system. He will be dearly missed. Petros is survived by his 5 daughters & sons-in-law: Gloria & Greg Borod of Loveland, Katina Staios of Dayton, Bess & Mark Slade of Englewood, Olga Staios of Cincinnati, and Eleni & Chris Ferraro of Mason; 7 grandchildren and their spouses: Julie & Robert Brausch, Jennifer and Scott Mathews, Jeffrey Borod, Natalie & Chad Armentrout, Nicole& Ryan Eatough, Athena Ferraro, and Alexander Ferraro; and 5 great-grandchildren. Petros was preceded in death by his loving wife, Anthe Staios; parents, George and Agoro Staios; brothers, Dimitri, Pascalis, and Thomas and sister, Olga. In Petros' memory, his family would like to acknowledge the loving support and special friendship of the Carl Garnett family of Oxford, OH. Visitation services will be held on Tuesday, September 5th at Routsong Funeral Home (81 N. Main, Centerville, OH) from 5-7 p.m. with Trisagion Prayers at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 6th at The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church (500 Belmonte Park North, Dayton, OH).
