ULRICH, Phillip Craig, age 90 of Bellbrook, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at his son's residence in Spring Valley, OH. Phil was a graduate of Stivers High School and attended the Univ. of Dayton where he studied mechanical engineering. He retired from NCR and owned his own contracting business. Phil was a 4th Degree life member of the Knights of Columbus Council 4022, VFW, American Legion, KSSC, and a volunteer at Kettering Hospital for over 24 years where he founded the Kettering Hospital Volunteers Golf Outing. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert and Mary Ulrich and sister, Jane and Bud Hale; brother-in-law, Jim Schell; sister-in-law, Marie and Todd Steiner. Phil is survived by his wife of almost 70 years, Arline C. Ulrich (Schell); sons: Paul (Pat), Dave (Jan), Phillip (Lisa); grandchildren: Paul (Leesa), Jim (Amy), Michelle (Larry), Dawson (Karah), Shelby, Josh, Stacy, Joey, and Sean and 13 great-grandchildren; many special nieces and nephews. Also survived by Marion Ulrich and her family, Thelma and Larry Schott and their family, and the Hale family. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 6, 2009 at 11:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6425 Wilmington Pike, Centerville, OH 45459 with Rev. Tom Schmidt, celebrant. Family and friends will gather from 9:00AM � 11:00AM at the church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420. Condolences and other remembrances may be sent to the family at www.routsong.com.
