age 80, of Kettering passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2004 at Lincoln Park Manor. Phillip was born in New Paris, Ohio and a resident of Kettering for over 40 years. He was highly decorated, including receiving the Silver Star, for his service in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII in the Pacific Theatre. He retired from the Ohio National Guard as CW4 and was a member of the Retired Officers Association. Phillip was an educator both at the University of Dayton as an assistant professor for 17 years, and for the Federal Office of Personnel Management for 17 years. Phillip was President of Patrick & Associates for 5 years. He was preceded in death by his son, Gregory Michael Patrick in 1960; parents, Albert and Lula Patrick; brothers, Paul, Edward and Chester Patrick; and sisters, Helen Crump, Betty Sweeney and Irene Bickel. Patrick is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Gerry (Golden) Patrick; son and daughter in law, Phillip Andrew and Lillian Patrick of San Francisco, CA; daughter and son in law, Kathleen Ann and Lewis Vaughn of Williamsville, NY; 2 grandchildren, Erin and Patrick Vaughn; and sister, Virginia Marksbury. Family will greet friends Saturday, January 17 from 2 to 5 pm at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. Beginning at 2:30 pm, family and friends are invited to share stories about Phil’s life and his P.M.A. (Positive Mental Attitude). Private services. Burial in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. In memory of Phillip, contributions may be made to the United Leukodystrophy Foundation, 2304 Highland Dr., Sycamore, IL 60178.
