RUUD, Phillip W., passed away Sunday, April 4, 2010. Phil was born June 6, 1937 in Fargo, ND. He graduated from Fargo High School, Fargo, ND in 1955 and attended North Dakota State University from 1955-1959. Phil received a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from NDSU in 1959. He played baseball and basketball while at NDSU. Phil worked a short time at Boeing Aircraft prior to entering the Air Force. He received his AF commission while at NDSU and also served as Supply Officer in Okinawa from 1959-1961. As a civilian, Phil worked as an Industrial Engineer at the Newark AFB in Newark, OH from 1961-1975. In 1975 he transferred to Wright Patterson AFB and worked as an Industrial Engineer where he retired from Federal Service with nearly 35 years of service in June 1995. After retirement Phil was involved with managing real estate properties in the local Centerville and Bellbrook area. Phil is survived by 3 daughters, Laurie D. Ruud of Kettering, Shelly L. Ruud of Connersville, IN and Julie D. Ferguson of Centerville; grandchildren, Phillip W. and Justin A. Schleeter, Victoria A. and Kelsey M. Ferguson and great granddaughter, Orianna Schleeter; brothers, Steve Ruud, of Lebanon, PA, Tim Ruud of Brooklyn Heights, MN and a sister Lynne Brokke of Dent, MN. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering OH. Visitation will take place 2 hours prior from 11:00-1:00 PM also at the funeral home. Interment will be at David's Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.routsong.com.
