Phyllis J. Ashurst

ASHURST, Phyllis J. (Rohlfs), age 81, of Dayton, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on the evening of December 27, 2014. Phyllis was born on September 19, 1933 in Dayton to the late Otha and Dorothy Crews. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Phyllis was kind hearted and gentle spirited, she never met a stranger, and nothing gave her greater joy than spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Ashurst and son, Richard "Rick" Rohlfs. Phyllis is survived by her loving daughter, Cheryl (Craig) Frost; grandson, Justin (Alexandra) Frost, who was the light of her life; and great-grandson that is due to be born any day; dear friend, Sister Ruth Myers; and her Ashurst family. Family will greet friends from 5:00-7:00pm on Friday, January 2, 2015 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 East Stroop Road, Kettering. A funeral service will follow at 7:00pm. The family invites all guests to stay following the service for a time to share memories. A burial will be held the next morning at 10:30am at Willowview Cemetery, 2500 Neff Rd., Dayton.
