Phyllis Jean Kohr

KOHR, Phyllis Jean, age 84 of Kettering, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 4, 2020, surrounded by family.

Phyllis was born on August 18, 1936 in Adrian, MI to the late Victor and Katherine Fogelsong. She graduated from Blissfield High School in Michigan, then from Huntington College in Indiana. Phyllis attended Fairhaven Church and was a member of Toledo Calvary Assembly of God. She was a dedicated teacher who twice earned Teacher of the Year while growing young minds at Reynolds Elementary School, a part of Toledo Public Schools.

Phyllis loved playing the piano, listening to worship music, spending time with family, eating sweets, and doing puzzles.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Leland Fogelsong; sisters, Ellen Neuroth and Lucy Brenneman. Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Mark Mazer) Brasington, Tommy (Meghan) Brasington of TX, Jason Brasington of SC, Tracey (Marty) Forgione of TX, Liz Korsog of Dayton, Ernest (Cindy) Brasington of Millbury, Christa Mazer of Dayton, Melissa Mazer of Dayton, Kyleigh Mazer of IN; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at 10AM at Fairhaven Church, 637 E Whipp Rd, Centerville, OH 45459.
