Phyllis M. Shiverdecker

SHIVERDECKER, Phyllis M., age 100 of Kettering, passed away Friday, June 27, 2008 in Xenia, OH. Phyllis was a member of Church of the Cross United Methodist. She retired in 1976 from the City of Kettering as a Secretary. Phyllis was a member of the Shrine Bara Court, Elkettes Lodge #58, Seniors, Inc., Hithergreen Senior Center, the Kettering Senior Suburban Center and the Charles I. Lathrem Senior Center in Kettering. She volunteered at the Kettering Medical College for 10 years and also volunteered at Channel 16-14 for 8 years. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Shiverdecker in 1989 and her daughter in 2003. She is survived by one son Bruce of IL; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at 1:00 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, with Rev. John Whitaker officiating with Entombment at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11 AM until time of service.
