Phyllis Rose Boffa

BOFFA, Phyllis Rose, age 88, of Washington Twp., OH, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2016. Phyllis was born to the late Antonio and Rose (DeSena) Scala on April 25, 1928 in Queens, NY. She graduated from John Adams H.S. in 1946, was a member of Church of the Incarnation and John Pirelli Lodge member of the Italian Club, volunteered at Victoria and Schuster Theaters, in the gift shop at Kettering Medical Center and knitted hats for the babies at KMC as well. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome Albert Boffa. She is survived by her children, Elizabeth (Greg) Battisti of Centerville, OH, Roseann Boffa of Venice, CA and Joseph (Laura) Boffa of Easton, CT; grandchildren, David, Emily, Caroline, Mark and Julia and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff of Hospice of Dayton for all the wonderful care they gave Phyllis. Family will greet friends from 5:00pm-8:00pm on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St. Centerville, OH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Church of the Incarnation, 7415 Far Hills Ave. Centerville, OH. Burial in Westbury, NY.
