Prisciliano Quijas

QUIJAS, Prisciliano, age 88, of Fairborn, OH went to be with his Lord, Tuesday, April 24, 2012. He was born in Kansas City, KS in 1924. Prisciliano graduated from Bishop Ward High School in 1942 and Kansas University at Lawrence, KS in 1951 with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering. He began his military service with the Naval Aviation Cadet program in December 1942. Mr. Quijas also served in the United States Naval Air Reserve, retiring in January, 1984. He worked at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base as a mechanical engineer. He is preceded in death by his wife Isabel (Dominguez) Quijas; his parents, Lucas Quijas and Amalia (Rodriguez) Quijas; and his sister, Loretta Q. Long. Survivors include sons, Lawrence Quijas of Santiago, Chile, and Perry Quijas of Fairborn, OH; daughter, Amalia Quijas-Jofr of Fairborn, OH; granddaughter, Marguerite Riou Quijas of Dayton, OH; grandson, Marcus Quijas of Cornwall, England; brother, Jesse Quijas of Belton, MO; and numerous other family members and friends. Prisciliano was a loving husband, father, and dear friend and servant of the Lord. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00pm Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Maple Hill Funeral Home, 3300 Shawnee Drive, Kansas City, KS. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in the Argentine District with burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
