Ralph "Jack" Bernard Barhorst

BARHORST, Ralph Bernard "Jack", age 82, of St. Petersburg, FL and formerly of Dayton, OH passed away peacefully on January 4th, 2013. Jack graduated from Chaminade High School in Dayton, Ohio in 1949 and attended classes at University of Dayton. He worked in sales at Jefferson Smurfit Graphic Arts, Shaw and Marchant Printing and was a realtor. Jack attended Blessed Trinity Church in St. Petersburg, Fl. He enjoyed spending time on the water with his family and friends water skiing and boating at Lake Cumberland. Jack was a kind and gentle man who was deeply devoted to his family. He has touched many lives and will be truly missed. Preceded in death by his parents, Bernard Joseph and Edith Amelia Barhorst, and siblings, Rose Ann and James. Jack is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Rose Mary (Fella), sons, Jon(Lori) and Shawn(Shelly), daughter, Cindy Smith(Greg), grandchildren, Kinsey, Alec, Hadley, Kelley Anne, Brady Barhorst, Tyler and Valerie Smith; brothers, Robert and deceased wife Dorothy, Norbert and wife Anna, Richard and wife Kathleen, James deceased and wife Paullette, Thomas and wife Corliss, sisters, Patricia Reynolds and deceased husband David, Ruth Hopkins and friend Jerry Saylor, brother-in-laws, Leo Fella deceased and wife Donna, Louis deceased, John Fella and deceased wife Melanie, sister-in-laws, Marilyn Easterly and husband Donald, Judith Delong and deceased husband Neil, Kathleen Sudhoff and husband Marvin, Margaret Meyers and husband Jeff, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 11, 2013 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd. Kettering. A Memorial Mass will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Holy Angels Parish, 1322 Brown St., Dayton, Ohio 45409. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
