ROGERS, Ralph Lee age 82 of Kettering passed away peacefully, Friday, September 15, 2006 at Hospice of Dayton. He served in the United States Army during WWII in the European and Asiatic-Pacific Theaters of Operations with the 322nd Medical Battalion, 97th Infantry Division. He operated an ambulance for the purpose of evacuating sick, injured, and wounded from combat areas. Ralph drove in black outs over rough and unfamiliar terrain and made minor repairs and adjustments to vehicles. After retiring from working in tool and die at General Motors, he started a lawn care service. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Myrtle and 2 brothers, Don and James. He is survived by his loving wife, Lora; 2 sons, Roy of Quincy , OH and Ray of Kenton, OH; 1 daughter, Jane (Roger) Allen also of Quincy, OH; 1 sister, Christine (William) Berstch of Anna, OH; 2 sisters-in-law, Dolcie and Carol Rogers; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends and neighbors over the years. He will be deeply missed by his entire neighborhood. Funeral services will be held 11:30 AM, Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering . Burial in Swander Cemetery, Sidney, OH. Family will greet friends from 10 AM until time of service at the funeral home.
