age 80, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2001 in Athens, GA. He was formerly of Huntington, WV and Dayton, OH. Raymond was an Air Force veteran of WWII, serving in the South Pacific. He retired in 1980 from WPAFB where he was a test mechanic and crew chief on experimental aircraft and was a member of VFW Post # 9738. Preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Wakefield and Maude (Minton) Beaman, originally of North Carolina; 3 brothers; a sister; a son-in-law, Edward Beaupre; and a grandson, Christopher Beaupre. Survived by his wife, Genevieve (Harvey) Beaman of Athens, GA; a son, Richard and his wife, Patricia; 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Rebecca and Michael Altman, Paula and Terry Anderson, both of Dayton, and Linda and Stephen Lucas of Athens, GA; 12 grandchildren, Steven, David, and Aaron Altman, Bryan Beaupre, Grace Anderson, Joshua, Jason and Emily Beaman, Sarah Lucas Wooten, and Gregory, Meredith and Alex Lucas; and 4 great grandchildren, Joey, Lily, Chloe and Mitchell. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday in the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering with Rev. William Zimmann officiating. Private burial. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
