SCHUTZLER, Raymond "Ray," age 93, of Dayton passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2012.
He was a 1937 graduate of Patterson Co-op High School and lived all his life in the Dayton area. Ray was a previous member of Grace Methodist Church, where he sang in the Chancellor Choir for over 30 years. He retired from Beta Industries years ago, but had kept in close contact until the end.
For the last several years, Ray lived at Brookdale Senior Living in Oakwood and enjoyed his time among close friends. He was also a lifetime member of the American Czechoslovakian Club, in Dayton.
Preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor and son, Jerry. Ray is survived by his son, Tom (Lorraine) Schutzler of Westlake, OH; and two grandchildren, Jeff (Julie) Schutzler of Prairie Village, KS and their children Madeline, Kimberly, and Victoria, and Craig (Jill) Schutzler of Overland Park, KS and their children, Justin and Ryan.
The family will greet friends from 2:00pm 4:00pm on Sunday, October 14, at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 North Main St., Centerville. A funeral service will take place on Monday, October 15, also at the funeral home. Burial to follow at David's Cemetery.
