Raymond K. Back

BACK, Raymond K., age 85, a lifelong resident of Dayton and formerly of Jackson, KY, passed away on March 1, 2014. Raymond was a proud combat veteran of the US Army having served in the Korean War with the 34th Infantry Reg., 24th Infantry Division, 34th Tank Company. He retired in 1981 from Delco/Harrison Radiator after 32 years of dedicated service with General Motors. Raymond was a KY Colonel and a member of the Fairview Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Emma Back; and siblings, Seldon, Roscoe, Kelly, Edgar, Carl, Leonard, Woodrow, Wilbur, Edna Mae, Louise, Dorothy, and Pauline. Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Joy; son, William K. Back, J.D. of Rutherford, NJ; grandchildren, Christina Back of Cleveland, OH, Sarah Back of Findlay, OH; and brother, Robert Back of Franklin, OH. The family would like to thank Raymond's caregiver, Sheila Carr, for her genuine care and concern. Raymond's family also expresses deep appreciation to the administration, faculty, staff and board members of Felician College for their support and prayers. The family will greet friends from 3:00-7:00pm on Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 East Stroop Road, Kettering. A funeral service will be held at 11:30am on Monday, March 10, 2014 at the funeral home with Pastor Jim Richardson officiating. Burial will follow at Dayton National Cemetery with full military honors.
