HULL, Sr. Richard A, "Dick," age 80, of Kettering, OH, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2015. He was born September 7, 1935 to the late Everett and Myrtle (Roberts) Hull, in Dayton, OH. Dick was in the Marine Reserves and worked as a stereotype and photo-engraver for Dayton Daily News from 1961 until he retired in 2000. Dick loved woodworking and fishing, he traveled with his wife Marilyn, and was restoring a 1966 Mustang with his son Tim. He sang tenor in St. Anthony's Choir and also sang with the Choraleers visiting retirement communities and nursing homes during the holidays. He was a former Vice President of Kiser High School Alumni Association and of Corner Cupboard Charities, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council #500. Dick was preceded in death by his brothers, Roland, Warren and Everett Jr., and his sister, Zoa Strukamp. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 60 years, Marilyn; 2 sons, Richard Jr. (Lori) and Timothy (Pam) Hull; 5 grandchildren, Caitlyn, Brad, Nick, Jessica and Justin; and his sister, Harriett Picos. He is also survived by his afghan-hound, Samantha, who he loved very much. A visitation will be held Saturday, September 19, 2015 at St. Anthony's Church, 820 Bowen St, Dayton, OH 45410, from 9:00-10:00am with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am and internment following at Calvary Cemetery in Dayton, OH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Anthony Choir, 820 Bowen St, Dayton, OH 45410, or to the American Cancer Society, cancer.org.
