Richard A. Jones

JONES, Richard A., age 78, of Centerville, died on Saturday, November 23, 2013. A native and long time resident of Cincinnati, he was retired from Queen City Metro, where he served as a bus driver. Richard was an expert on Cincinnati history, and for many years conducted the Queen City Tour for visiting dignitaries. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Lillian (Wiethorn) Jones, his brothers, Dale (Esther) and Millard Jones, his sister, Janet Edison, and his grandson, Antwuan Walder. Richard is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 57 years, Patricia A. (Nee "Keller") Jones, and their children, Richard (Anita) Jones and John (Susan Trotter) Jones of Cincinnati, Patrick (Dan) Keefe-Jones of Longmeadow, MA and Anna (John) Monnett of Centerville. He will also be dearly missed by his grandchildren, Ava, Ian and Claire Jones of Cincinnati, Matthew Keefe-Jones of Longmeadow, MA, John Paul (Erin) Monnett of Atlanta, Kevin and Erin Monnett of Columbus; and great-grandchildren, Tiana Walder, her sister Amira and her mother, Michelle Jones of Columbus. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6245 Wilmington Pike Dayton, OH on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 10:30am. Family will receive friends at the church from 9:30am until 10:30am prior to the mass, with a luncheon following in the Friendship Hall. A private burial will be held at Dayton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to either St. Vincent de Paul or the Salvation Army.
