CRAUDER, Richard E., age 85, of Kettering died Thursday, September 12, 2013 in Florida.
Richard graduated from Fairmont High School and attended Parker CO-OP where he learned his tool making trade. He was a former member of Southern Hills United Methodist Church (where he sang in the choir) and Cypress Lake United Methodist Church in Fort Myers, FL. Richard served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
Richard worked for NCR as a tool maker, tool designer and process engineer for 30 years and later worked for R.L. Drake. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed wood working and boating. Richard enjoyed his cottage at Indian Lake and traveling with his sister, Alice.
Preceded in death by his sister Alice Crauder and brother Thomas Crauder. He is survived by two nieces, Cynthia (William) Krehbaum of MI and Cheryl (Philip) Roser of Dayton.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, September 19th, 2013 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering with Rev. Brooks Heck officiating. Family will greet friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Southern Hills United Methodist Church, 2287 S. Dixie Dr. Kettering, Oh 45409.
